Mount St. Joseph University is Proud to have CCHMC as a clinical partner, the #1 Ranked Children’s Hospital in the USA!
According to U.S. News, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is ranked #1 in the USA on its 2023-2024 honor roll list. CCHMC earned this top spot by “accumulating points for being highly ranked in many specialties.” Along with being ranked the #1 overall children’s hospital in the USA, CCHMC also earned the #1 ranking hospital of specialty pediatric treatment for cancer, diabetes & endocrinology, neonatology, and urology. “Whether and how high a hospital was ranked depended on how well it performed in three broad arenas of quality: clinical outcomes, efficient coordination of care, and providing care-related resources.” Pediatric specialists and doctors across the nation were also surveyed on which hospitals they thought were the best in the USA; their responses contributed to the ranking scores as well.

Mount St. Joseph University is honored to have CCHMC as a clinical partner. According to Darla Vale, the Dean of the School of Health Sciences at the Mount, “All of our clinical health sciences programs do experiences at CCHMC. This includes PA, BSN, DPT, and soon MSLP.” Kristin Clephane, the Assistant Dean of the School of Health Sciences and the Chairperson of Nursing at the Mount, adds that “Our nursing students complete their pediatric clinical hours/rotations at the #1 pediatric hospital in the Nation.” The Mount and our Health Sciences students are very fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing hospitals in Cincinnati, especially Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
