MSJ Mission Ambassador Program

We commit ourselves to creating an inclusive environment where persons of all faiths and no faith are welcomed. The Mission Ambassador Program is an intentional community of students who support and encourage one another in living the mission of Mount St. Joseph University while they:

• Development of Leadership Skills: Participants learn to navigate challenges, inspire teamwork, and make informed decisions that positively impact those around them.
• Cultivation of Ethical Awareness: By fostering a deep sense of responsibility and integrity, Mission Ambassadors are equipped to uphold ethical standards in their personal and professional lives.
• Empowerment Through Service: Service to others lies at the heart of the Mission Ambassador Program. Through meaningful community engagement and service-learning projects, students gain firsthand experience in addressing social issues and contributing to positive change. This hands-on approach not only broadens their perspectives but also instills a lifelong commitment to serving the needs of others with humility and empathy.
• Personal Growth and Well-Being: Beyond academic achievements, the Mission Ambassador Program prioritizes holistic development. Retreats offer students a supportive environment for personal reflection, spiritual growth, and building meaningful connections within a community of peers who share similar values. This approach nurtures students' well-being and resilience, empowering them to lead balanced and purposeful lives.

Mission Ambassador Award

Mount St. Joseph University is excited to announce the Mission Ambassador Award.

The Mission Ambassador Award will provide opportunities for students to serve as Mission Ambassadors through the Office of Mission Integration. Students will serve as campus ministry leaders of interfaith prayer, assist with student retreat experiences, serve as prayer leaders, engage in service activities, and assume leadership for other mission integration events throughout the academic year.

The Mission Ambassador Award is a $2,000 renewable award, $1,000 per semester. The award is renewable for up to eight (8) consecutive semesters, provided the recipient is enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program, maintains higher than 2.5 grade point average, and is actively involved as a Mission Ambassador.
