Our November "Pride of the Lions" is Director and PDSO for International Students, Mary Mazuk!
Dear Mount Community,
Mary Mazuk, Director of the Academic Advising Resource Center, joined the Mount on September 15, 2005. In her 18 years at the Mount, Mary has made a tremendous impact on the lives of thousands of students, guiding them through their academic journeys and helping them develop paths for achieving their career goals. She has always been an active contributor to the Mount Community, from serving on various committees to assisting the Theatre Program by sewing costumes.
This Fall, Mary launched a new Academic Recovery Course, in which students receive additional support in study-skills development, personal responsibility, self-confidence, and motivation to improve their academic outcomes. Students in the new Academic Recovery Course are at risk scholastically, and Mary's commitment to their success could be life-changing for each of them. Mary has often been an "Unsung Hero" at the Mount, but is most deserving of the University's praise for her accomplishments and unwavering dedication to MSJ students for many years.
Please help me congratulate Mary Mazuk as the November 2023 "Pride of the Lions!"
