Mount St. Joseph University President Dr. H. James Williams, Ph.D., First Lady Carole Williams, and Sister Karen Elliott, Director of Mission Integration recently attended a Rome Seminar at the Vatican sponsored by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities.
According to the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, the Rome Seminar, offered by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, is a firsthand opportunity to explore the intellectual and spiritual legacy of the Catholic Church in order to strengthen and promote the mission of Catholic higher education. Just as importantly, it also gives participants an opportunity to act as ambassadors to Rome.

“Dr. Williams and I [found] on our way into the Congregation for Catholic Education, where we spoke about Mount St. Joseph University’s programs, highlighting enrollment, service, diversity, equity, and inclusion, reading science, outreach to our students in need, and Mission Ambassadors,” says Sister Karen.
The audience consisted of greetings to all of the groups that had assembled, including the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, presidents and senior leadership attending the Rome Seminar, scripture readings from various people in several different languages, and a short teaching from the Holy Father, which was also translated into several different languages.
